Today was a bit of a spare day, due to Nara being a shorter trip than planned, so I decided to head to Okayama which is on the route towards my next hostels destination of Hiroshima. Similarly to Himeji, Okayama has a castle and a famous garden(one of the top 3 in all of Japan) so I spent the late morning and early afternoon pottering around these sights. After a short stint to Shikoku Island, I am back to Honshu in Hayashima.

... and the other is in Korea Town in Tokyo, whatever that suburb is. That was what we were told last year. They might be completely gone now, which is a pity as they had some really quirky stuff. The Daiso shops here have roughly the same stuff that we have at home except that some of the shops are 10 times the size.

Joseph was lagging so far behind that I wasn't sure if he would find his way if I didn't stay back a little. There were branch roads - high road or low road. The signage wasn't terrific and at one point, the sign to Brenesse House pointed to up the top of the hill. The man at the junction said to go to the low road but that sign was to another museum. ...

day, but fortunately it was a large scale map and it ony took us a couple of hours. On the rather large lake there was a 30min boat trip, Just two to a boat. It would have been lovely but we just too late to take the last boat of the day.
