First Night in Tokyo

A travel blog entry by jeffdavis152

... up and then pour over the bowl.  It’s super, super tasty!! We ended the night with the sun coming up over the city.  It was a beautiful spring morning, which is a true blessing coming from the cod hell that is Chicago right now.  It was literally snowing when I left….come on Chicago.  Regardless, we took a short train ride back to our hotel and passed out for the 4 hours remaining until checkout.  It was truly an amazing introduction to ...

... staying in the Owashi lodge youth hostel where for once I was pretty much the only Brit there, it being full of Australian boarders who were great fun to hang out with.

On Sundays this place apparently hosts youth who dress in showy, creative outfits and pose for pictures. During our walk, I asked my ...

We've never done Disney before, as kids or with our kids so we have no comparison with respect to our visit here in Tokyo.

Tokyo is a busy place, we knew that, but the Japanese really love their Disney. Eventhough it was "low" season, it was packed like a can of sardines! We had to wait 2 1/2 hours for an Indiana Jones ride... and I don't even think the crowd knows who Indiana Jones is or his movies.
