... years and was born in the states so he is fluent in English. He married a Japanese woman who speaks Spanish, so that was really interesting! And their children only speak Japanese! Anyway, David was our saving grace! We would have been so lost without him! When we got off the train in Tokyo he showed us all around…how to get to hotels…where to eat…fun things to do…how ...

... shelter in Nagoya.

Lessons learned: I packed too much and never used any of my rain gear. Some items were required in case of a mechanical problem on the road but none occurred. I only had 2 flats, none of which were punctures - one was a failed patch on an old tube and the other was when the valve came off a tube when I was removing the pump. Nice to try, but would not be a regular menu item for us. After another walk of the streets we had our last stop at a small modern art gallery which had prints of Chagall on exhibition. Fun. We caught the train back to Tokyo, to Ginza, a ...
