We were about an hour late coming in to port this morning. The captain said it was a combination of some rough seas slowing us down along with an hour delay for the medical evacuation last night and another hour delay in leaving our original port in Yokohama due to another medical emergency. He said that they were able to make up most of the time, but not all of it. Because of the delay we actually had time to watch the shoreline as we came into Nagasaki. ...

... water is so good. Then we found the start of the carp area. Both sides of the street had water channels running through full of colourful koi carp. We found a "resting house" where you could walk around the traditional building and look at the gardens. Then we found another house, part of it on stilts surrounded by a huge pond. It was so beautiful. The water was crystal clear and full of koi carp. You could sit right at the edge of the decking area, dangling your feet over the water. ...
