I got up at 5:30 in the morning. Because I went to bed at almost one o'clock the night before, I slept only four hours. We made a stop at the local konbini (convenient store) and at a kakigori (shaved ice like a snow cone) stall before we finally made our way to the beach. The beach was lined with tarps and people.
