By now we have covered a lot of ground, so we take a rest under a cherry tree and Shauna basks in the beautiful sunshine.
Next its a bit of window shopping around the main part of town before heading back to the hotel and grab some tea.

Not the best of days. Starts out ok but doesnt take long for the rain to arrive and the wind is blowing quite strong. We do manage to visit the old town and take in the history of the area before ...

The Gardens of Kanazawa

Thankfully there is enough in the shops that looks familiar for us to buy. A 90 minute journey down the mountain passing an ...

This morning we got the "Thunderbird" train from Kyoto to Kanazawa, a city on the West coast of Japan. Kanazawa has a very regular hop-on-hop-off bus service from the train station to all the main sights of the city for a very reasonable price. I would recommend this as a way to get around and explore. The lady in the tourist office in the station was very helpful and was able to reserve us our first activity which was Myoryu-ji, also known ...
