... it comes out and there are so many of them for 3 years, and then they disappear and no one can find them for 20 years.

We then drove down and looked in the actual village. Liana and I got ice cream and looked in the shops. We took a ton of pictures. To get in then village, you have to cross a bridge suspended in the air. Liana and i got excited about it, but it was concrete and barely shook.

I woke up at 5 again. Everyone was already up by then and getting ready. I went back to sleep and my alarm clock went off at 6:30, so I got up and took a shower. The showers are so weird. It's just a room with a nozzle and a bath. You have to spray the nozzle on you. I don't really like it. I went back to my room and got changed and packed my bag for the day. ... all the road closures due to the parade. There is a large garden there named Kenrokuen near a large, white castle. The castle was very pretty, much more reminiscent of a temple than a castle, though we couldn't go in. When we walked into the garden to pay for entry, the woman at the counter started saying "I'm sorry..." leading us to become crestfallen that it was, too, closed for the day. Then she continued "... but today it is free." Sorry? We weren't! ...

Three days in Kanazawa in rather old fashioned but very friendly and welcoming hotel. Chief attraction in town is Kenrokuen Garden, Japan's third most famous. Plenty of cherry blossom and interesting design but no spring flowers of course.did a lot ...
