    ... the escalator ride up to the top floor on a stairway to heaven was worth the $3 entrance fee alone. By the time we were what seemed like a couple of hundred feet high I was holding on really tight. The museum took me about 3 hours to look round and when I came out having seen all I wanted to, including a really moving film about the american fire-bombing of Tokyo I was really hungry.

    ... some really big differences between Tokyo and other cities I've visited before. It's incredible to see how quiet and calm this city is. No one is shouting or running, you don't hear crazy police alarms in the distance or cars honking. It's really something I've only experienced here so far. Also how clean everything is! I crossed in a few directions, then grabbed a chocolate scone at the Starbucks facing the crossing and took a seat on the second floor to watch the “scramble” take place every couple minutes.
