    ... the escalator ride up to the top floor on a stairway to heaven was worth the $3 entrance fee alone. By the time we were what seemed like a couple of hundred feet high I was holding on really tight. Our first stop was at the visitor center where the staff told us it is rare to have such a clear day at this time of year and even more rare to be able to see Mt. Fuji from Tokyo.
