It had rained the previous day and the moss covered stones and wet leaves were pretty slick. Fortunately in many places a strip of dirt separated the stone path from the embankment which allowed for surer footing. Despite often needing to go safe and slow, we were making good progress. I was happy to discover ...

We went to a different Izakaya that my hotel recommended and had an epic time getting to know each other over many glasses of sake.

All and all, I enjoyed my Mt.Fuji experience. But it was time to move on to my next adventure, TOKYO!!!!!

Today at breakfast we were seated at the other side of the room where the printed placements reflected the names of the towers we could view. Yesterday's placements depicted that view and we pity the poor trainee who might muck the placemats up! After receiving such attention to her personal meal requirements, they must have been happy to wave Naomi off. Just as well we still had Kaoru (our guide) to help us navigate our way to Shinjuku station, though the unforgiving ticket gates ...
