... hike to the bus stop at Hatajuku if this seemed the most accurate experience.

At the well-marked trailhead, I strapped Will to my back. According to my phone app, we (including Will) had already walked 4 miles since leaving our house. Will was definitely showing signs of needing a nap. He fell asleep as we began the 500 ft climb to Hakone Pass. The menu had no english and very bad pictures. Eventually I just sort of let the old women that worked there pick something for me (talk about Russian roulette). A little after ...

... girls go to the shrine to receive a blessing and then boys go again at age 5 and girls at age 7. They were rather cute! From there we went on to the Japanese art gallery which had magnificent views of Lake Ashi and Mt Fuji. Next step was the trip across the lake in a pirate ship - Jonny Depp could have been on board. From there it was back down to our accommodation. This is quite an experience. It's a large hotel and shoes are removed at the front door and put into lockers. Many ...
