... it comes to museums but I always head straight for the swords and armour and this was no exception. The museum had some great examples of samurai armour and katana swords dating back hundreds of years. Think I'll be going to the sword museum tomorrow now! After the museum I walked back to the hostel though the rush hour traffic and through the awe-inspiring neon lights, which was the first time I'd seen them having been flat out asleep at that time on the 2 previous ...

I love the train so much as you get to see so much of the country side. I took videos of pieces of the route you should check them out! ... in traditional garb. We only found out later that it was because President Obama was visiting the shrine that day. So we weren't allowed in. We then walked toward Harajuku and we managed to find a Cookie Time and we popped in for a cookie ice cream sandwich. Yummy!

Harajuku was just as I imagined. Cutesy little shops and many people dressed up as Harajuku girls but there were also quite a few goth shops as well. Harajuku was fun because ...

... Harajuka to see the trendy young things. Snow flurries tonight.

Friday: From Shinjuka, we caught the train to Hakone in the south west. An amazing day of trains, buses, a pirate ship, ropeways, cable cars and eggs boiled in the sulphur-rich waters of the hot springs.

Saturday: Our last full day in Tokyo was beautiful and sunny. John & Alex headed back to Electric City, and Tim and I had a long walk before meeting up with them in Ueno for final ...
