He told me all about his dream to open up his own guesthouse one day, and we reminisced about Thailand's full moon parties. He had also been so we shared stories and his love for being a DJ. A fascinating shrine

... than I feared. The hostel is in a 100 year old Japanese ryokan. It's old dark wood, big windows, lattice work panels, inner courtyard garden, steep stairs etc. The bunks are very sturdily built and all have privacy curtains, light and socket to charge gadgets. I was the only non Oriental staying - the others from China, Taiwan, Macau and elsewhere. Very quiet at night and I am pleased to report - no snoring!

... around a park and visiting a shrine we made our way to the major attraction and started to feel a bit hungry. We saw a little place at with a line of people in front of it and assumed it had to be a good place. So we queued as well. You could probably come here every day, trying three or four new things every time, and not be able to sample everything in the span of a year; it was positively mind boggling browsing through some of these stores.
