... gorge run by a super nice guy and his vegan cooking wife. It was great hanging out with the other guests and getting to know the staff. I took a bus out to the famous bridge and I was lucky to get there before the crowds. It was cool, but then what? You really need a car to get yourself to a trailhead. As i refused to get up at 3am I laid in bed until after 5am and just pondered - my brain slowly regaining some juice after days of serious sleep deprivation. After a well-needed shower the time was food time. At 6.10am I buzzed down to the foyer to retrieve my breakfast tray. Banana, hard boiled egg, sweet bun with raisins, coffee ...

... the contents were available to touch (and play with) including first grade chairs and tables, wooden blocks and carved names in the wall making it a much more tactile experience. Surprisingly despite the heat, the school rooms were ventilated well and much cooler than expected although apparently when it rains the old style wooden buildings were known to leak (mum's primary school was a similar style building).
