    Our plans changed, however, when we couldn't get accommodation in the area and we discovered that it's not that great for pedestrians – there isn't much near the train stations so we'd have to spend a long time walking along roads or hitch-hiking to get anywhere good for hiking.

    ... part of the afternoon to walk the route. The weather held off for little old me, until the end. At temple 5 I bought what seemed like cheap oranges. Great I said to myself.     In the meantime, there was much exploring of the soy sodden surroundings to be done. The buildings and trees all about the soy sauce factories truly were blackened by the sauce; the air smelled salty and delicious.
