... were concrete/stucco. We walked along paved streets and along dirt roads, and would ya know it...we came to the bar from the night before. We had to go in and have refreshments. Two of us had Sturm, John had beer.

After a yummy breakfast, we were off to the grocery store for a few things and also to mail some post cards to loved ones at home. The poor women there had a difficult time figuring out exactly how to do that transaction. I don't think they get many people sending mail to the USA. Patrick said he won't be surprised if they don't show up. While at the store, one of the local soccer players was there...turns out, he's Christina's brother.

... crossed the border. Not that we had to stop - just keep on going! Lunch at our first Austrian roadside stop. Interesting to see the change in goods in the store. Food better. I had salad, David a goulash soup. Not many there either which was nice.
