... a Zurich city tour (again) showing the main sights. Then we followed Lake Zurich to Rapperswil, known as the City of Roses. Marcello entertained us with jokes based on the nationalities of the passengers on board which had most chuckling. A couple from New Zealand and an American woman in the front seats were the bearers of most of the humour. Rapperswil is a pretty lakeside old town with a medieval castle, numerous Roman catholic churches (which is the complete opposite ...

... is one of the Unesco World Heritage Sites. This place was filled with priceless books handwritten by monks during the Middle Ages. It's a dimly lit confection of ceiling fresco, stucco, cherubs and parquetry. Only 30,000 of the total 150,000 volumes are in the library at any one time. Stayed around the campsite throughout the morning reading
a good book. A short local walk in the afternoon but managed to catch a bus
that took us right back to our start point rather than taking us further up the
valley side. Gave up in disgust, had a cup of tea and carried on with the good
    book.

... the Tyrol or Austria, just info about Imst. Is there any such thing as the
    Tyrol Tourist Authority out there?!

Took a walk up the Rosengartenschlucht gorge. where the
Schinderbach river roars down a 2 km long ravine. This beautiful gorge begins
close to the centre of Imst at the Johannes church. Quite a strenuous walk, all
    in all, up to Hoch-Imst.

Fingers crossed, the weather forecast looks OK for
