... all along to see the cathedral. This place is Amazing! We were able to walk and explore inside the cathedral. Apparently the construction of the cathedral was first begun in 1248 and was halted in 1473, leaving it unfinished. Work restarted in the 19th century and was completed, to the original plan, in 1880. It is such an enormous cathedral, 144.5 metres long, 86.5 m wide and its towers are approximately 157 m tall. ... The dogs are all very well behaved and their owners have them on a leash. Just a different part of culture for us to see.
I saw my first church here. This church dates back to 1470. We just don't have dirt that old here in Canada. I think the one thing that impressed me most about Europe is that they actually respect their history. They don't tear it down to make way for a new road....they build the road around their history.
