Decided to do the longer ride, 38 miles today. Rode in and out of Germany through amazing forests on gravel paths. Had pastry on a lock for the morning stop. Most of the ride was through acres and acres of farmland both in the Netherlands and Germany. Last stop was at a brewery where the beer was excellent. Today we left to ride on the dikes where the river once flowed and is now greenery with farms, bird sanctuaries. We stopped for apple pies and coffee, a daily morning activity.
