... summit of Mount John. It wasn't supposed to be a particularly challenging walk and compared to some of the walks we've done it would be quite simple. The weather wasn't too bad when we began, a few clouds but also patches of blue sky. We wouldn't be caught in torrential wind and rain like yesterday, surely... We were very wrong.
