Drove today on the Redwood Highway, mostly Hwy 101. The morning fog evaporated quickly and we had a full day of sun: from 54F to 74F by the afternoon. Great vistas when the road went to the coast at Eureka and Crescent City and fabulous scenery (redwoods and forest) the rest of the way here. No elk sightings, despite many signs promising same.

For me, it is the place in this world I feel most ...

We walked from the parking area up to the Ranger station and got our Junior Ranger books. We signed up for a tour of the caves with the Ranger. We had to ...

We didn't have to meet my bro in Prospect, about 1-1/2 hours down the hwy, until noon so we had some time to kill. Vonnie got out the scissors and took a couple inches off of my mop of hair. Feels good.

We drove down to Prospect. The sites improve ten-fold the farther west you head into Oregon. We pulled into this park area right off the main street that runs through town. Some dirtballs came over from out ...
