Drove today on the Redwood Highway, mostly Hwy 101. The morning fog evaporated quickly and we had a full day of sun: from 54F to 74F by the afternoon. Great vistas when the road went to the coast at Eureka and Crescent City and fabulous scenery (redwoods and forest) the rest of the way here. No elk sightings, despite many signs promising same.
My parents don't stop, they are amazing... like the bees in the lavender, they never stop... their garden is a marvel... after watering a bit and moving things around, he grilled some meat and we ate dinner while they are watching basketball play offs.
Tomorrow I am off to Corvallis for a mini reunion with amigos from Oregon State University back to the Gap on Monday.
