... we made a day of walking through the city and wound our way back to the dock. I took tons of pictures to show you how beautiful this city is but all with cell phone. Hard to believe I walked off ship without my camera!

Most of the people we encountered spoke English but I really felt at a disadvantage not speaking Spanish. I don't know if we'll get back here to The Canaries, but it was a great experience to see the two islands we did. ...

... It was amazing! We went almost to the very top, but the gondola up to the very top was closed due to high winds. And boy it was windy! The bus stopped several times where we could get off and walk around to see the volcanic rock. It was declared a UNESCO world heritage site and Spain’s highest point above sea level. The last volcanic eruption was in 1909 from the El Chinyero vent, which we saw!

... morning I woke up to glorious sunshine, whilst rain was predicted for Sunday. So I decided "today's the day", packed my bag with warm clothes and snacks, and off I went. ... as it was going up Los Tilos the Rainforest which can not be reached my public transport. I am not surprised about this as the road up to the North is just one road and in some very tight spots it took about 10minutes just for the bus to make sure it was lined up to cross very narrow bridges.Very scary indeed!
