Dinner last night was delicious. We were sat out on the terrace (great view of the place) and it started to rain (properly rain) half way through our starters. The waiters - who appeared fairly used to this - quickly ushered us all inside, brought our tables in, and carried on as if nothing had happened. It was quite funny. The rain didn't last long, but an electrical storm lasted long into the night. We sat up for some time watching ...
... the sea (we saw some dolphins as we were having lunch) before heading to the "Sands" - the resort bar, if you like - for sundowners and a spectacular sunset. Dinner was superb.
Yesterday we went on our snorkelling trip (with guide Paul) through some of the caves, which was awesome. There was a bit of diving down to swim under rocks to get into 'secret' caves which was fun. We spent the afternoon relaxing, and then wandered over to a local bar ("Rick's cafe") for ...
... the setting of this place is quite amazing - and the "resort" (feels wrong to use that word) looks lovely. Lots of spots for jumping off the cliffs into the sea, and our room is very cool. Tomorrow we will snorkel, and have dinner in a cave. All good! Drinks and food both look amazing. The weather is hot and sunny, with the odd tropical downpour (these never last long). Lunch time now, so I have to dash. See/speak to you all next week. Much love, D&K

Negril, Jamaica elinolsennalum... spectacular. The best meal we had was the night they closed the entire beach off for Scott and I. The waiter moved our table to the edge of the water and it was waiting for us when we got down to the seaside at sunset. Each course was better than the one before and it was so peaceful. Wyatt came down later and joined us for dessert. All in all it was an amazing trip. We've already decided to back sometime in the future and try a different resort next time so stay tuned!
Kingston, Jamaica luckylady611... along the beaches, and a good breeze (maybe gusting to 40 knots). Walked up to the center of town, which took awhile since we did most of it along what was left of the beach. Wading would be a better description. The various seaside bars and restaurants were either closed or removing seaweed from their floors. There were a few patrons at some of them, all just watching the turbulent sea from the bars.
Negril, Jamaica crashdotToday is a beach day, we agreed to split our time between the country visiting family and doing our own thing on the beach/cliffs. I am a confirmed beach bum, an August baby, I need the warmth of the sun. We arise and dress but we are really in need of a yard breakfast. Norm's breakfast is great even better that is a part of the room rate, but we need some ackee!!! So we go off to invite our friends to join us but they are not ready, so we ...
Negril, Jamaica rastagalnj... on about his business. In between mine and Curtis's cabins is a picnic table which eventually becomes our swimsuit-drying table. I sit there for a minute wishing I had a cup of coffee, and knowing I'm not nearly beautiful enough yet to walk to the nearest restaurant and get one. I decide to peer into his cabin to see if there are any signs of life. Not yet. So now would be a great time to test out my first outdoor shower. Since this is my first time ...
