Today we went up kitzsteinhorn. We caught 3 cable cars to take us 3029m of the 3203m mountain. Lee and the boys went to play on the ice beach but it was a bit slippery for the girls so we stayed in the dry. Lunch was at the alpincentre 2052m high in a lovely restaurant whilst watching it snow outside.

I was frightened, not the impossimountain again, the wind was visibly whipping the snow up into the air at 45 degrees. I had that feeling of being able to feel my skull because it was so cold.

This was unbelievably mighty fun, first on plain powder, then among trees. Slow going but so nice. If Hannis saw you fall, he would roar with laughter. “Oh ho ho ho! That’s so funny” his laughter ...

He had a motocross accident at the age of 19, broke his spine, was paralysed, recovered, received fabulous Danish healthcare and cash and wanted to invest it sensibly. This specific week every year, he has up to 16 of his best friends join him for adventures on the slopes.

Today it turns out, he once again had nearly managed to kill himself: ...

Snowboarding day 3

A travel blog entry by don.vince on Jan 27, 2015

I know the way today, up the mountain, down the mountain, in the right direction, not just on time for school, early! My reward: I hear beautiful singing & guitar playing; it's Róisín that I met on the bus the other day playing on the radio show. Nice work Róisín! Also to her credit, I asked and was granted the request to play 3 chords (badly) on her guitar, I miss my strings.

Virtually everything Julian teaches us today is "this ...
