Today we went up kitzsteinhorn. We caught 3 cable cars to take us 3029m of the 3203m mountain. Lee and the boys went to play on the ice beach but it was a bit slippery for the girls so we stayed in the dry. Lunch was at the alpincentre 2052m high in a lovely restaurant whilst watching it snow outside.

The next section got steep, really steep, but the sign said it would take 40 minutes and I was interested to see how quick I could do it, so I power walked it. This turned out to be a lot harder than I expected, so much so that I had to stop at one point to catch my breath. I would say that maybe the French and ...

... for the upcoming climb into the mountains. Initially, as we climbed we got a bit of rain, but it cleared just as we were approaching the Austrian border, and it was absolutely beautiful. The roads wound up through the hills, periodically ducking into a tunnel and back out again, and all the while with glaciers on the mountaintops in the background. After a quick stop at the border, we descended down the other side through lush green forest. It was just incredible, and I apologise for ...
