          ... asked :) :)

We didn't make to Chur on the first day, because of the early getup *cough* so we had to shop for food somewhere in Domat/Ems and find a spot to spend the night in about 20 mins. As it went dark we were far from the forest and just hungry and tired.

Loading up is down to a fine art and we were soon on the way to St Moritz. An adventurous driving day, through small villages and large villages, over high mountain passes, ...

... and decorations are influenced by those cultures. Romansh is the major language of this region. On 9/27 we walked from Sent to Scuol in a little over an hour, then took a gondola to have lunch in a mountain restaurant. We then took a very easy walk to a chair lift which took us down to Ftan to catch a bus back Scuol. Tomorrow we're off to ...

... they use the whey to make fresh ricotta. The cheese factory also offered all kind of enticing cheese and cold cuts. We left there with a sampling of local cheeses to take with us to Italy. One other reason for our stop in Morteratsch was to hike to the Morteratsch Glacier which is the largest glacier in the Bernina Range of the Alps in Switzerland, but it is also retreating fast. As we hiked along the trail to the ...
