Had a late start to the day today and for a change instead of going down the hill we went up the mountain. Up to the site of an active volcano. It started to rain half way up so had to hire umbrellas so we could walk over to the edge. A couple of quick photos and we were off for lunch. The rain became quite heavy and ...

A traditional Indonesian breakfast was had by all this morning, only a phone call away according to Toni. I had Bubur Ayam (chicken Rice porridge) and the others had Nasi Goreng, very tasty. It was hard for me to watch as Halef put his hand up to touch the compartment, so I had to leave and wait for him to finish his visit. A few moments later, he was done. And, though it sounds as inappropriate as it felt, we went to the mall while his family was in church. I don't know why Halef wasn't expected to go. I wondered if ...

It's well into Rainy Season now! Allegedly it begins at the end of September, but it really hasn't been full on rainy season until November. October had a few good downpours a couple times a week, but now that November is coming to an end, we have full on downpours a couple times a day.

As people who have never experienced Rainy Season, Kyle and I really like it, but we're lucky enough to live on higher ground and don't have to deal with some of the downsides. A few of the ...
