... catch-up of family news over good food.

Then drove on across Dartmoor again. Stopped to climb to a Tor on Burrator Moor before driving to Lee Moor and on to Ivybridge.

Stayed again with Jenny and Rhidian, whom we stayed with in February. Another lovely night in front of a roaring fire with good food and lots of chatting. Great to see them ...

Lazy day, with late brekkie. Drove with Liz and John via Torpoint and then Millbrook to Maker Heights, when we sat outside to eat lunch overlooking Cawsand - amazing in late November!

Then walked across Mt Edgecombe parkland along an inlet from the sea to Cremyll, when we had a drink in the old pub, the Edgecombe Arms, before walking back; in all, about 3 miles.
Lovely lazy dinner in front of a roaring fire. So good to see our old pals ...

Arrived at Tregantle cliffs, overlooking Whitsand Bay, to stay with old friends Liz and John, whom we had last seen in February. Great welcome as always, in their lovely windy cottage overlooking the ...

Tuesday finally arrives and we're on the 1803 out of Exeter St David's after a quick beer in the Great Western. As we pull out we dig into our supplies, I head to the buffet car to pilfer some ice and we settle back to enjoy a couple of G&T's. Slightly embarrassing as the bottle of tonic all but explodes over the laptop of the guy sitting opposite, but it's only a toshiba, so I'm not overly concerned. I'm not sure where it started, maybe as a ...

... From Cheddar we headed towards Glastonbury, hoping to catch a sight of the Tor. Indeed it was visible from a ridge in the landscape from some miles distant. We kept going through Glastonbury village following the National Trust signs for the Tor. Although we're both members of the Trust and can get in for free, again we didn't want to have to park the car, get out and walk some distance to obtain a picture, especially as the NT are past masters of placing their car parks ...
