... yummy). The next day Andreas showed us what he'd seen around the city the day before, and we got coffee in the square and watched the end of a wedding. We had a nice relaxed day and Alicia and I decided to stay one more night and make a day trip to Sighisoara. We caught the 11am train the next day, expecting a 2ish hour journey. Perhaps it's because we were staying in an enchanted forest, where Sorin, our wizard, magically rendered the gasoline safe to ...

We awake to another cloudless sky. The day soon warms up and at 8am we repair to Madame's kitchen for breakfast of eggs, yoghurt, cheese, tomatoes and cucumber. Coffee and tea to drink and bread and home-made jam to finish.

Conversation continues in French. I learned later from her son that Madame had been a language teacher in her younger days. After breakfast we wash the bikes and pack our gear. It's very warm now as we set off. ...
