... many thoughts. The most inviting was envisioning a job at an international school in Bali in which I will be able to develop a wrestling program and ride a motorcycle to the many surf breaks around the island. Of course if this materializes then I will try and not blast off the planet fully fulled by an overwhelming amount of joy and happy energy. I have been in contact with a principal at the Bali International School and have my fingers crossed constantly except for when I check ...
Busan, Korea Rep. morpheous... how he very much enjoyed the strip clubs and the naked western ladies... okay... bye bye then Mr Cho! I smiled and politely took my leave, but not before he gave me directions to the Famous fish market and as a fall back wrote me a note in Korean; "I am a visitor looking for the fish market, please give me correct directions" or at lest that's what he said it meant.....

The fish market was a cool sight, but much like any ...

Busan, Korea Rep. ct_sigchi... friends for drinks. My friend, Anne, was proposed to earlier that night, so a celebration was in order!

Later, Kim and I met some other friends at our usual haunt, The Basement, and finished the evening out there. It was fun because all the regulars were there, and we sang Christmas carols and stuff. It felt homey. :)

Christmas morning, I got online, and was able to talk to my ...
Haeundae, Busan, Korea Rep. missyjoymel... Yep. "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer!" Oh, and "The Twelve Days of Christmas." :) The students know Rudolph in Korean, so teaching them the song in English wasn't too hard. Some classes really liked it, some could care less...such is Middle School I guess... Funnier though, is when I made them sing the "12DoC" (my abbreviation), with me. I actually first taught them the motions, and wrote the words out on a handout. The ...
Sajik-tong, Busan, Korea Rep. missyjoymel... she said she could tell that they were a new "affliction" for me, and apologized on the Land of Korea's behalf, then gave me her famous spray. Well, first she sprayed me all over...face, arms, neck, etc. Then she explained (through Kim's translation) that this bottle contained minerals and vitamins from the local mountain vegetation's roots. She insisted that this would cure me. I didn't really know what was going on this whole time though. I knew this woman was ...
Sinp'yŏng, South Gyeongsang, Korea Rep. missyjoymel... shade time. And yeah, I'm a little pink now, and I'm happy with that. I was far too pale for it being this late in May, and my skin will feel SOOO much nicer with a little dose of sunshine.

Let me give you some facts. Koreans suffer from some of the highest Vitamin D defficiencies in the world. Their suicide rate for teens-30's tops the charts. There is so much pressure put on this society to have the highest scores, and ...
Sajik-tong, Busan, Korea Rep. missyjoymel... did not transmit. So Orla came back with her second wind and says "Korea", bingo, the old one word tactic had worked again. Phew! Well in fairness to the taxi driver he made some time getting to the port, passing out, ducking in and out of lanes he really did his level best for us and fair play to him he got us there on time. So we got to the port at 8am just on time and the next problem was would the checkin take mastercard ...

Busan, Korea Rep. norsu... in question and were somewhat relieved to only find seafood, fruit and electrical goods. Our relief was short lived however when we turned a corner to find rows upon rows of butchers shops with cages of live dogs outside. Next to each cage was a freezer full of the actual meat, usually the whole animal, skinned. My legs turned to jelly and I couldn't go on any further - John & Conor carried on to have a look and came back looking ashen. No one spoke as we left ...
