    I Amsterdam

A travel blog entry by jessielewcock on Dec 22, 2014

... back to the I Amsterdam sign and surrounding park to people watch for a while. I managed to finally get my hands on a freshly made stroopwafel which was incredibly delicious and warm on such a cold day. I'd had one from a packed over my coffee in the morning which was yummy as it went all chewy from the steam, but this fresh one beat it hands down. Tonight is our final dinner with the whole group, as some will be staying behind ...

... of their life. Finally it was time. My **** had been rubbed clean, the stencil put on, I was laying on the bench, and the tattooist was staring it in the face. Enjoy. I gripped the bench legs so hard my hands turned white. In reality, it wasn't as bad as I thought, and exactly the feeling I was told to expect by my friends - like a really deep scratch! Anyway, we had to transfer onto another train which was a bit of a pain as we were trying to work out which platform the transfer train was on as they didn’t ...

Apologies for the lack of entries over several days but we had a busy time in Enkhuizen and Den Helder and managed to forget to update the blog and then spent 40 hours sailing back to the UK.

The trip from Hoorn to Enkhuizen involved a pleasant sail but sadly an infestation of green and black flies covering us and the boat. After spending half and hour bucketing water everywhere to try and get rid of them we eventually hauled the sails in ...

Woke up quite late. Our host's housemate was a cool chick and we asked her for a restaurant recommendation. So we then rode to Amsterdam Central and dined on green curry and spicy seafood soup at Thai Bird. It was honestly a great meal to have in Holland (no offense, but we're not so big on the frites here).

The plan for the evening was to meet up with an old friend of Adam's. We waited for Nadia and her friend Lisa at a cafe in the Dam square. Drank a ...
