After leaving Hunting Beach we traveled south on Hwy 101...What a beautiful drive along the coast with the ocean waves and hilly terrain. I especially like Laguna Beach. The first 2 nites we stayed at the only RV park available...on the weekend everything is full around beach towns. The park was fine. We found the harbor and the pier. Next up was the Northern Frontier. Josie really wanted to see an arctic wolf, but they didn’t have one. They did have an arctic fox, but it didn’t come out. We did see some polar bears who were just resting under their enclosures, and some reindeer. In our opinion, the enclosure for the reindeer was much too small, which makes us sad.

The first activity stop was a room with a large sculpture on a rotating disk, featuring the characters from “Toy Story.” Each character was repeated multiple times in different, ascending poses. As the disk turned, it just looked like a blur. But when a strobe light was added, it looked as though the characters were moving. Both kids were intrigued by that piece – very well done.

Paperwork work signed, passports taken, declarations of valuables that we are taking onboard, medical releases verified, Princess contracts and boarding dates confirmed, photos taken, and security screening of luggage and body. Then it is finally time to board the ship. Walking up the gangway and taking my first few steps onboard is one of my favorite moments! Then it is race time ...
