What a surprise!
We were a party of seven on a budget looking for comfort, cleanness and good service. What we got was this and much, much more. The staff always went out of their way to accommodate us, always with a smile and a willingness to please. Not only was the service good and rooms clean, but the free breakfast was something that I had not anticipated. The food was plentiful, warm and good. We will definitely stay here again.
Buena Vista Suites was sweet!
Our travel agent booked our honeymoon stay at the Buena Vista Suites. The king deluxe suite with a garden jacuzzi bathtub was wonderful. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful on recommending attractions and restaurants. The suite was very spacious and clean. They also offer a free FULL buffett breakfast which was a great way to start the day without having to go out and search for a place for breakfast and pay alot of money. Great hotel, great price, great location!!
Highly Reccommend Buena Vista Suites
I truly enjoyed my stay at Buena Vista Suites.
We had saved for quite some time & had high expectations for this longed deserved vacation.
Where do I begin... We arrived late our check in was smooth & the staff very hospitable. Our suite was so inviting. Clean, spacious & comfortable. The Queen pillow top bedding was also a nice surprise. It felt like a home away from home. The next morning my family & I were ready to go to nearby Disney on the hotels free shuttle but no without our FREE breakfast buffet. What a great variety!!! Each morning there was a new selection & the restaurant staff was very courteous. After several days of enjoying the area attractions we decided to relax & enjoy the hotel. We ordered breakfast room service. Lounged by the pool & had cocktails & lunch. In the evening the kids watched movies & my husband & I retired to our seperate bedroom area for quailty time. We really did not have to leave the hotel at all. By the end of our stay we had been greeted by name more times than I can remember. I thank Buena Vista Suites for making our vacation one to remember!! I will recommend Buena Vista Suites to every one I know. I was not dissapointed in the least & you will not be either!
Best deal around
We stayed at Buena Vista Suites in February of 2002 and have recommended it to several other families since. We are booked to stay there again next month. The room was great, the beds comfortable and the buffet was the best deal around. When one of our party became ill in the middle of the night the staff immediately provided us with fresh towels and linens, and opened the self-service laundry for us at 4 AM.
I have stayed at plenty of ultra-expensive resorts world-wide. I'm here to tell you, BVS is a great deal and it's proximity to WDW is terrific.
My one and only criticism would be that the pool is okay for a quick dip for the kids but needs updating.
our family stayed for 3 nights and thought it was very enjoyable. the rooms were nice, the location was great and the staff was very friendly. we all thought that the breakfast buffet was wonderful. my only observation for improvement was that the hotel bar/ pool area could have stayed open longer and the offer to get discount attraction tickets came with a string attached of looking at a time share.
I stayed here because I had business at the Caribe Royal convention center, and the Caribe was full. I was hoping the Buena Vista suites would be a short walk to the convention center, and it was just as close as if I had stayed at the Caribe. Appears to be the same types of rooms as the more expensive 'sister hotel' Caribe Royal but with less amenities. The Buena Vista Suites exceeded all expectations. The rooms and hallways are very nice, the rooms are spacious, the fridge kept my stuff cold, and I loved the breakfast buffet. Much better than average, and taking my complimentary Orlando paper down for a great breakfast was a fine way to start the day. I was there on business, but I did take a 4pm shuttle to the Magic Kingdom on my last day. The driver was courteous and bus was modern. Bell staff was outgoing and helpful. Wish they had "do not disturb sign" for my room. If you want fine dining, go next door to the Caribe Royal's Venetian Room, it was excellent!
Loved this hotel!
We had two rooms next to each other for the week of xmas 2003, Sunday thru Friday. I always check the reviews online because of past bad experiences and I was scared to death that after reading some of the previous reviews, that we had made a mistake but I was so happy that we did not listen to any of them. This hotel is excellent. The breakfast was great, the area is close to all, the hotel staff couldn't have been any more friendly and the price was also perfect. The rooms are newly decorated and I slept like a baby. I am planning to stay here again next year. We come to this area once a year sometimes twice and we have stayed at some hotel nightmares but I always said passing by this hotel that I would like to stay there and I am glad that we did. Trust me, do not go by those other reviews. Some people are just snobs and want the Taj Mahal for there money! I even swam in the heated pool and enjoyed every minute of it!
Wish I had found Tripadvisor before Booking
We stayed here the week of Aug 6-13, 2003, I wish I would have known about Tripadvisor, before I made resavations. I would not recomend this hotel. I was very disappointed. The "FREE BREAKFEST" is not very good.
Everything is "COLD".... The thing that upset me the most was they only shuttle to the Disney parks 3 times from the hotel. The last is at 12pm. So, you are not able to go to the parks early and come back to the hotel and rest in the heat of the day. Plus, the bus drivers are VERY RUDE...... In my week stay and riding the shuttle there was only one nice and courtouis Driver.... I will pay the extra money to stay at a "DISNEY HOTEL" even if its a HOLIDAY INN...... I thought I had researched well before booking this trip, but then I found TRIP ADVISOR. The reviews are not wrong. Not in this case....
Wasn't worth the money, First off we were given the wrong room, I requested Two Queen Beds, They gave us a room with one king bed, plus it didn't even have a bathtub, So I asked to be moved to a different room, We did get a room with two Queen beds but it stunk really bad with smoke, also requested non-smoking room, The remotes didn't work for both tv's, We had booked a room at another motel the next night, which cost half of what we payed at this one, and it was a lot better, Also thought the swimming pool was very small for the size of the motel.
Our refrigerator was not cold, and our air conditioner didn't get cold enough. The beds were okay. The living room section was small. The biggest bummer was the free breakfast buffet, which we were counting on to save some money. The food was lousy. The mini-muffins and donuts were fine, but the "hot" food (like potatoes) were lukewarm and unappetizing. We ended up at a convenience store across the street for breakfast much of the time! The pool could have been cleaner, and the pool snack bar hours could have been more convenient. Next time we'll stay at one of the resorts with the pools with waterfalls, etc., a decent restaurant, and a few more amenities.

... standout attraction which is the Harry Potter area. There are now two Harry Potter areas, one in Islands of Adventure Park (Hogsmeade) and the other in the Studios Park (Daigon Alley) with both areas linked by a train. The Studios Park has mostly indoor attractions except for the awesome Rock IT roller coaster. Both parks have a "quick queue" pass you can purchase. It is pricey but great value as it will help to ensure you do each ...
... all of them!! Thomas has read all the books so he was in his element. Whether you are a Harry Potter fan or not it is still very impressive. Universal have designed an entire Diagon Alley. Jellied eels, a fire breathing dragon on the Gringotts bank, the Knight bus and magical shops everywhere greeted us as we walked in. It was amazing and clearly a big draw for Harry Potter fans, most interesting were the magic wands ...
... was very slow, and got slower. The little needle gauge showing how much power it had was in the red zone all the time, and going up one slope, it just gave up. I managed to coax it to It's A Small World (sadly), where Min (who is now in charge of all things ECV) spoke to an attendant and made a call the ECV department.
Ten minutes later a new one was duly delivered and by golly what a difference. This was like a young stallion. It ...
... as I'd expected them to be. So we ended up doing Shrek then heading for home. The trek back to the car was hard for me, but after getting home and a couple of drinks at the Tiki bar all was good again. Universal Studios was great, but one day was enough to do everything.
Sunday we were out earlier and what a difference that extra half hour made, still took ages to get into the car park, goodness knows what takes the attendants so long. It was ...
... but we’re on holiday! – and we decided to head out of the park for the day as the crowds were getting ridiculous.
As we had the car still, we decided to head to one of the outlet malls at the end of International Drive to do a bit of shopping. We’d found some bargains the last time we were here so decided to try again. We were in luck, and managed to score a pair of trainers each, some t-shirts and a new purse for me. We then popped to Downtown Disney for ...
