    ... and heading out of the hollow to a ridgeline. About 2.5 miles into the hike, we came to a nice rock overlook with fantastic views of the Elk Creek Valley below. Although it was early in the hike, we decided to stop and eat lunch here before continuing our hike.     ... if she was not sick. The hotel opened the pool, a bunch of the other hikers took advantage of the cool water. I stayed out, was more in a talking and walking around mood. Seems a few of the hikers are sick. Hopefully it clears up quick for everyone - seems when we go into town, hikers get sick - seems modern society is the problem, we all should stay out in the woods......we never get sick in the woods.     ... Marcelo, 'Marcela' just cause that's how her accent is. We visited some fab places too but they will be featured in the next couple of blogs.

    Marcelo and I really loved Virginia, there are beautiful rolling hills. It is green and lush and still warm in the summer and not too much snow in the winter. Also loved the old plantation style houses there.
