Long travel day today, got in at 3:45pm. Was actually on Blue Ridge Parkway for little bit, then it got REALLY interesting. LOVE this campsite. We are actually sitting outside voluntarily at 4pm and enjoying it. Still humid but wonderfully cooler. Fireflies! Babbling brook sounds soooo ...
... a lot of butterfly themed trinkets from stained glass to other knickknacks. We later learned that there is a butterfly garden there but unfortunately we didn't see it. We bought the tickets and then headed down the 137 steps to the beginning of the hike to the Natural Bridge. It was a little steep but an easy walk. We reached the small cafe and the guide sent us on our way.

... if she was not sick. The hotel opened the pool, a bunch of the other hikers took advantage of the cool water. I stayed out, was more in a talking and walking around mood. Seems a few of the hikers are sick. Hopefully it clears up quick for everyone - seems when we go into town, hikers get sick - seems modern society is the problem, we all should stay out in the woods......we never get sick in the woods. Marcelo and I really loved Virginia, there are beautiful rolling hills. It is green and lush and still warm in the summer and not too much snow in the winter. Also loved the old plantation style houses there.
