... if she was not sick. The hotel opened the pool, a bunch of the other hikers took advantage of the cool water. I stayed out, was more in a talking and walking around mood. Seems a few of the hikers are sick. Hopefully it clears up quick for everyone - seems when we go into town, hikers get sick - seems modern society is the problem, we all should stay out in the woods......we never get sick in the woods. ... it's hard to count cause we flew over them.
I was struck by the American landscape. I'm familiar by now with the East Coast and Florida, and even a bit with the mid-west. But I saw the way the ancient waters shaped the land and how today I saw sand dunes in America! I know through texts that we have them, but it's one thing to read, and quite another to see.
And then I realized:
There's so much of my own country ...
... of feeling from scare to screaming to laughing to nervous.
There is a birds house where you can feed them on a little stick with sesame seeds on it. This stick also attracts the birds to come to you. It's very cool to see about 4 or 5 of them coming to your way at one time.
