... a rather good meal on Tuesday night. I had a tuna steak with a soy, honey and ginger sauce and Keith had chicken breast with a spicy peanut and wine sauce. Both were excellent and surprisingly reasonably priced. What’s more we were served very speedily. We had suspected that we might have a long wait as the restaurant was practically full and several large groups of tourists had arrived just ahead of us.

Adrenaline, amphibians and 5* chill-axing
By happy coincidence, the school in Samara was running a tour to Monteverde this weekend, so I got to take some tours I'd been wanting to do with friends, while getting myself where I needed to be at the same time!
The drive from Samara was a 5 hour chiropractic session (the roads here in Costa Rica are ***** ;-)), but it sure beat the 12 hour option via San Jose again. Plus, it was well worth it for the early start for the ziplining!

In the Shade of Arenal

There was a neat towel display with flowers everywhere all about the shower, in the washcloths, wrapped in the shower curtain with a towel to tie it up…even in the toilet paper rolls. Just fantastic. ... views. There are no exact measurements for how high the cables are, but its high! The two longest ones (1 and half km) go right across the canyon. They also have a rappel, tarzan swing and superman cable. First thing I said after the swing was "after that I can do anything!", good job too because the superman cable was next, sort of makes you want to shout "look no hands"! Left at 1pm, soaking wet, tired and very proud :)
