... and plenty of boats bobbing on the bay. A ferry boat was waiting at Taronga Zoo Wharf and we hopped on over to Circular Quay. Ferries are the absolute best way to travel around in Sydney and you can plan a few trips from Circular Quay to take you to Darling Harbour, Manly Beach, Watson Bay and other little areas around the harbour. You don't need a tour guide as you just sit ...

This time we we walked west along the zoo perimeter towards the Sydney harbour bridge. We were amazed at how many quiet coves and small harbours there are surrounded by very luxurious houses linked to the city by the ferries. The majority of the houses are Federation Arts and ...

The Rocks & Circular Quay

What a huge day! According to my phone, we walked 14.68km today...and my feet think this is accurate! We wanted to be "Sydney tourists" today, so that meant we walked the couple of blocks to Circular Quay and had breakfast at an expensive cafe on the waterfront. The kids were confused as the couldn't see a circle at the Quay - marks showing the natural shoreline demonstrated a semi circle a little better. Matthew was particularly impressed with the huge cruise boat ...
