    Spent the night in the Cracker Barrel in Council Bluffs. Breakfast there. Headed to Horseshoe Casino. Had a good time there. Ate at the Binion. Played for awhile.     ... until the sun went down and the moon came up. It was beautiful at night but we decided we would return the next day to see the part of the park that we drove through in the dark.

    We stayed at a Best Western tonight and were surprised to find a special computer lap desk with a letter from the owners and a lovely note from our housekeeping staff to welcome us along with a flower tied in a gold bow. A perfect end to a fun and exhausting day!

    What a fabulous day! Slept well, falling asleep to the dulcet tones of the 3 generations of family next door, chatting, laughing, all relaxed and happy. As well as all the people, they had a dog at least 4 feet tall. Left Galena about 7:15am Central Time, even changed all my clocks.
