... we got out took photos and more photos before having champagne and snacks. On the return journey we changed seats so everyone had a chance to sit in the front. The pilot took a different route back and landed in the middle of nowhere to refuel. Matt had pointed out the Joshua trees that grew in this area which are a sort of cactus. As we got near to Las Vegas we flew low over the strip getting amazing views of all the hotels etc.
T minus six days and counting. We're in the final stretch of preparations, and my "to do" list still seems rather daunting. Las Vegas has been HOT HOT HOT the past week, with highs of 113 on Saturday at McCarren. Chris and I both saw 115 degrees that day in our neighborhood.
