... that day at Furnace Creek was 113f (45c) we were warn not to stay out of the car for very long at Badwater Basin which is the lowest point in North America (282ft below sea level) it was certainly v hot & Simon did feel it so we didn't stay out on the salt lake for too long before drove off to Dante Peak which just took our breath away of the amazing views across Badwater basin. The 25 mph speed limit as you go through Searchlight seems ridiculous to me.
All there is are loads of huge signs, a bar or two and a massive casino.

Now we did have a great day. As more guests arrived we did the morning packing. I came to 22.4 kilos although the scale at the airport later on would measure exactly 50 lbs. Hurray for Rimowa.
