... flight to Dallas, where my lovely wife was waiting for me. I was home by about 10:00 but it felt like late afternoon. The whole trip from the time I left the hotel for the airport until I arrived home had taken about 35 hours.

Thanks for following along, and for your prayers for God’s guidance and protection. They are most appreciated. If all goes as planned my next trip will be to Africa and Europe and should start in about 5 ...

Caverns and killers

From Roswell we drive to Carlsbad Caverns. The caverns are on the Unesco world heritage list, so we decide to pay them a visit. Located 250 meters under ground are loads of stalagmites, stalactites, draperies, soda straws and popcorn. Soda straws being the tiny ones hanging from the ceiling . In Europe we call them Spaghetti. Popcorn are located on the ground. The cavern is beautiful, but we saw an even more beautiful cavern in Slovenia last year, so were a little spoilt. ...

... Makes this Mama and Baba very happy. Auntie Phuong, Uncle Jeremy, Bennet, Ruby, and Story did not make it until after Addy went to bed, so they met her the next morning. Bennet was first to wake up. Addy was so excited to meet Bennet. She kept signaling for Bennet to come downstairs. They enjoyed some cartoons with Baba before everyone else woke up. And yes, we had donuts again - pigs in a blanket too!

... them, it looked magical. Everyone is very friendly, I have shaken hands with a Desert Storm veteran in his Bike Club regalia. Been wished 'a top of the morning to you'. Had street busking guitarists set up right near us as we had coffee to lighten our day. ... Africa and costs $9000 to replace each bench!!! We hurried through the self guided tour, back into daylight and thankfully found a taxi waiting outside. Unfortunately he was clueless with directions or landmarks and his gps wasn't working which was pretty frustrating. Not to mention we hit traffic entering the city. He couldn't even take us to our hotel because he didn't know where it was. So we caught the Dart train and walked back. Home by ...
