A BIRTHDAY FLIGHT

A travel blog entry by tezzatravels on Feb 28, 2015

Slept 2.5H and then just tossed and turned for an hour or so. The alarm did buzz at the rather ungodly time of 0245. A quick shower and readied to go, telling Mike he made a bad trip better.

Down to meet BB and Ms Ice Pack at the taxi. The roads were quiet at that hour. A bit of drizzle en route to Cheddi Jagan International Airport, the trip taking some 50M. Not many in line for BW524. Main bag checked thru to YYZ and second boarding pass. Next had to get the checked ...

POUNDING BACK THE COFFEE

Airborne by 1025 Zurich time, mist soon engulfing the plane. Able to charge the computer. Some warm nuts [shut up, Trav] and the bar was open before 1115 with a gin and tonic. French farmlands appeared on a rare look out, Caen and Bayeux in the neighbourhood.

Lunch linen at 1130. 'Unwind' and 'Decades' provided the aural entertainment aboard the 767-300. It was a very good meal. Had a pinot grigio with the appetizer and tried the Ranch 32 with ...

... Falls. It wasn't that exciting as you couldn't even see all of the falls, it was just a view from the top and side. There were lots of tourists everywhere and we even saw 3 bridal parties that were getting married there, it was slightly tacky.. :S Next we walked over the bridge to the Goat Island part of the Niagara Falls State Park to look at the falls from the other side, still not entirely impressive.. By 3 o'clock we had seen enough and crossed back into ...

Niagra falls

A travel blog entry by georgeadams1991 on Jul 02, 2014

Drove around Toronto trying to do dhit but nothing worked out and driving down main city streets takes forever. Eventually found josh and my hip flask and t shirt we lost the night before and 3 hours later we were on the road to NYC. First stop, Niagara falls! Only an hour drive from Toronto. Didn't realise an actual city called niagra falls would be built around the waterfalls, but I guess that's tourism! Drove past on the Canadian side first with the roof down getting the spray come ...

Visiting more cousins

It was great to go see cousin Gary at his business office. We loved chatting with him and 2 of his kids who work there - Jodie and Rodney. Last but not least we went to cousin Jack's home. His landscaping business and office is on his home property so we went there. Therese was home too so we were able to have a really nice visit over a cup of tea. Their eldest married daughter Courtney popped in with her little cutie 'Beckett'. Baby #2 ...
