It has suddenly become cooler, but we aren’t complaining. Yesterday we had a short visit to the nearby zoo, where the penguins in their icy enclosure are Benny’s favourite animals.

So far our plans have been altered because of bushfire, rock falls and high altitude, and last night we heard of Hurricane Joachin which is due to hit the East Coast just as ...

... with a long, steep downhill to the Meramec River, then uphill, then back downhill to the campground. This campground was a surprise as it is totally flat, few trees, with narrow campsites close together. Nothing like the wooded camping I was expecting. However there are lots of kids riding bikes and running around so it seems to be perfect for them. It's still too hot for me to get out before sunset at 7:00 pm but a cold wave is supposed to come through ...

... Malfoy, although a bit mischievous, hunts animals with his arrow skills and brings us fresh food. But most importantly, Bard has experience in killing dragons. Rumor has it he once killed VoldeSmaug's grandfather, Smaug. Hermione and Ron don't believe it as the truth. We are getting closer and closer to the coveted Arkenstone, and soon we will be within ...
