    ... area, which is a great spot to practice, being here in mid-desert. We saw several fighter-bombers come in to land. I also have a few shots of these planes.


    Fallon is a town of about 5,000 folks. We're parked in a Casino RV Parking Lot, which suits us just fine. We had a good lunch in the cafe and "invested" a few not-very-hard-earned dollars at the machines. No luck, no foul...

    ... fell asleep for about an hour. When I got up we decided to go for an early dinner. We drove to a BBQ restaurant that had an ad in the local Tahoe Guide. We drove about 5 miles only to find out that they were not open on Mondays. Wasn’t that nice of them to include that in their ad??? We did stop at a BevMo to see if they had some Bacon Burbon, but to our luck they did not, but the sales clerk said he had Bacon soda. We had to buy it ...

We sat at a comfortable iron table on the patio bordered with huge pots of blooming alpine flowers.     Arrived at the lake and it is beautiful!.....

    Lake Tahoe has everything you could possibly want...amazing views, gorgeous lake for swimming & sailing, mountains for hiking and skiing - it's paradise here and is going to be very hard to leave...made a mental note to ourselves that should we win the lottery during our tour we will think about purchasing a summer/winter place here ;-)

    Early start as we need to check out and drive over to Lake Tahoe, a seven and a half hour, 444 mile trip. Packing up the room was our first priority – a quick shove into our bags and we were done. The checkout was quick as was getting out of Vegas.
