      ... a proper home cooked meal, which I accompanied with cold apple cider....and got most of the group to play Pictionary before zzzzzz. The next morning we hit the road early, San Fran bound. Our timing was both a curse and a blessing. The night before the Giants (San Fran baseball team) won the 'World Series' (it's the USA national championship...the title is misleading because no other countries take part. In their defense, I don't think any other nations would qualify ...

      ... a hostel - not so much on the nice side), and then met the girls from our tour down at the wharf for dinner. It was Emma, Elise, Ramona, Sam, Jess and myself that were left in the city, however tonight was the last time we would get to have dinner with Sam and Elise, who both have flights in the morning. We had a really nice dinner at a cute little Italian restaurant, and I was able to satisfy my craving for bolognaise.

      ... ride around San Francisco Harbour.

      Could not get into Alcatraz as all tours were booked out, so had to be happy sailing past it.up close.

      Had a very nice final dinner in a little wine bar restaurant a short walk from our B & B

      Have to be up at 6 am in the morning to head to the airport to fly to Hawaii for a couple of days, the first leg of our trip home

      The next morning we were back in Denver with a plan to meet Cleave again that afternoon. Time enough for a quick drive out to the Red Rock Amphitheatre.
