... is located. Again, beautiful parklands and grounds. Lots of locals out and about cycling, skateboarding, playing soccer and picnicking. We went into the Japanese Garden section which was very pretty then headed up to the de young museum and cafe for lunch. Food servings so large that we shared a turkey sandwich and giant chocolate chip cookie. Sitting in the sun was nice and there was free wifi which let us fire off a message or two. After lunch we walked ...

We grabbed a quick bagel and then were planning to jump on the shuttle car down to the pier. We waited for 10 minutes...no sign of a car and all the other passengers had left...what was going on?! Left San Francisco at 8.30am on a beautiful, clear, sunny morning for our drive to Yosemite. It was a surprisingly warm day. On arrival at the lodge we took an orientation bus tour. We saw El Capitan, Merced River, Half Dome, Catherdral Spires, the upper and lower Yosemite Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. Dinner at the Yosemite Falls food court followed by a drink outside the ...

I couldn't possibly claim to be the kind of person who understands a book very well after reading them. I know what I feel whilst reading, I live in the moments, see everything, imagine the people and there's not much else. I can't recount things that happened in it and reflect on what they mean, but I know that this book has deeply affected me in ways I hope ...

... the bike shop today at about 2:30. It was 31 degrees. Microclimate? Other challenges included: * Almost dying *Realising about 20 minutes in that this was too challenging for Darcy, as he couldn't really reach the hand brake levers or manage the necessary gear changes and had a couple of minor stacks. He and Evan then had to double back to the bike hire place and swap Darcy's bike for a ride along bike on the back of Evan's while Tilda and I waited for them in a park. * Getting ...
