After a good night's rest we woke to find the city shrouded in one of its legendary fogs. But the promise is for a fine day, with a summer high temp of 19. So much for missing the Gold Coast winter. Took us a little planning to get organised, where we want to go and after a walk up to Union Square to find the ticket office for bus and cable car, we had to walk back down to Market Street for this. Never mind, interesting walk and good for the waistline on these ...

SF was a unforgettable four days... It all started when my plane was delayed due to the infamous SF fog. However after a 90 minute delay, I was soon on my way to the city of the Golden Gate Bridge. As I walked out of the airport in SF, I was met by crisp cool air. And I highly recommend it!) - Lunch @ 4505 BBQ (Awesome ...

... a drink from the fridge. Oh deer, so who's hand was it I had grabbed? Hahaha, the guy decided to move away quick smart and looked back at me as if I was mad, haha just a little embarrassing! The crossing over was flat and fast and as soon as we stepped off the boat we were greeted by a very enthusiastic national parks ranger who gave us a very informative overview of, not only the history of the prison, prisoners, staff ...

... San Francisco it became quite overcast for the remainder of our day. We made various scenic stops along the way and eventually made it down to Pacific Grove, where we are staying the next 2 nights. We are in a condo right on the water of the Monterey Bay and took some time to walk along some of the seaside trails. We ate at a beachside restaurant and watched a momma sea otter hunting for crabs while her baby slept...floating.
