Well Mashers I can say unequivocally we have been well & truly baptised into the culture that is Uncle Sam. Trace & I were right in the mix of the local July 4 Independence Day celebrations over the holiday weekend with attendances at the Marin County Fair, Larkspur's 4th of July parade and the Fillmore Jazz festival. First cab off the rank was the Marin County Fair, a precursor to the Independence Day parade. The ...
... is very rugged much like Oregon you cannot get a clear view without stopping. The coastal road was also very twisty and bendy, I was glad when it was over. Upon arrival, we could hear the sea, 30 feet below us, but we couldn't see it. It was fairly surreal. The plunging temperature meant that we ran the 1.5 miles to the lighthouse from the car park, took a quick stroll around it, since it was closed, and then ran back.
