... enter them and take a tour. We also took a trip into Guntersville to get supplies at Walmart, that wonderful, awful store. It was amusing to see that the folks in this town take their "Duck Dynasty" culture seriously. I have never seen so much camoflage in my life on non hunters. We are talking about mom, pop and baby dressed in spots.

Today we set forth for Guntersville, Alabama. It is a special place for us for several reasons. First and foremost, this is where we bought Calliope, from a couple of livaboards at Signal Pointe Marina in Guntersville. We are staying at Guntersville Marina as I write, which in fact is the old Signal Pointe Marina and hence the place we we found Calliope. The original Guntersville Marina is no longer in existence although the name lives ...

... along the way, including one where I found a home-made book with wood covers titled "Indian Patrol." This book was made by a kid in the mid-fifties and included some newspaper clippings from a Chattanooga newspaper. The guy I bought it from was an old picker with all kinds of junk, who goes to all kinds of places, including old coal mines, looking for stuff he can sell.

... Well, it wasn't the trail for the falls! HA! We eventually found the falls and it was gorgeous. Crazy how it was just right there. After the falls we went swimming in the pool of course.
