... Rochester to visit on old friend from our time in Pittsburgh. Sesh, Sandhya, and twin 14-year-old daughters Aditit and Anjana treated us to an wonderful dinner and stay. We really enjoyed catching up and reminiscing about friends, professors, and Pitt places. The next morning we walked along part of the Erie Canal in Rochester- nice time - before our trip to UMASS!
... named one was "Two Goats Brewery". Only one offered food as part of the package, the Wagner Valley Brewery, so we stopped there for lunch. It is actually a joint brewery/winery. We ate on the open deck overlooking the vineyards that sloped down to Seneca Lake in the distance. Very nice.
After lunch, we continued on around the lake, then headed back to camp.

... was fantastic. The towns along the canal seem to fall over themselvs to make boaters feel welcome. And this time of year there don’t seem to be many boaters. We have one boat docked with us tonight. I’m sure once school lets out that things will pick up. That’s why we like to cruise the off-seasons.

Towns along the canal seem to like to paint murals on things. See the photos at the bottom for some examples in Lyons and Fairport. The Fairport Bridge had what we considered the best.
