    Our first day with the new trailer went very well. We drove
    about 3 hours through the beautiful countryside of New York and stayed out in
    an RV park in the farmland. Bill located a RV park in Sodus Point. He
    though we were down by the finger lakes, but when we pulled in we realized we
    were camping on Lake Ontario. These great lakes look just like the ocean.

    I'm not really a morning person, so unless I have to be somewhere pressing, I like to take my time. This morning is one such morning. After an ok night's sleep (the bed was a little harder than I first realized) I coaxed hot water out of my low pressure shower, washed, dressed, and walked next door to the Lafayette Restaurant.     Before having a late dinner I rode to the city pier. I had remembered seeing some interesting photos online of the boathouses at the city pier. It was great to have an opportunity to photograph some of them as the sun was starting to set in it it's golden color to the view.

    I stopped in Geneva to look for a gas station. Geneva is a very nice college type town with a wonderfully revitalized downtown area, but there did not appear to be an abundance of gas stations. I was really quite surprised, given the fact I was on one of the major routes going through town.     ... uneventful highway driving but it was strange to see the trees in Vermont beginning to turn color. With the early evenings arriving, I guess leaf peeping won't be far away. 420 miles later, we've arrived in West Bloomfield, NY not far from Rochester.
