      ... s cavalcade started to move - all those cars for one guy!! I think Brian got a photo of his car - but then again it could be anybody in the car as the windows were blacked out. They didn't even stop at the traffic lights.

      Dragged Brian back to the visitors centre - they show a short film - which takes you into various rooms in the White House - it was quite interesting. The White House is the oldest public building in DC. The British burnt it in 1814 but it was rebuilt ...

      ... I explained that the Pentagon is actually in Virginia, and that DC is across the Potomac (indicating the Capitol Building and Washington Monument). The boy said, "That building over there has Abraham Lincoln sitting in a chair, right?" And he was absolutely correct! It was random...but they seemed nice.

      We then got back on the I95 and drove to our hotel in Arlington, Virginia, which is accross the river from the capital. We are 5 blocks from the Pentagon.       ... Memorial. It was a long day of walking so we went back to the hotel to rest before heading to meet Tanya's camp friends for dessert. We met with Tanya's camp friends at Busboys and Poets near Chinatown tonight. It was so much fun catching up with them and eating delicious chocolate cake!!
