How about finding an under funded, rural, low income school that because of great Teachers and great Students with a desire to learn have passed the top of the food chain schools test scores, old school way, paper, pencils and study. ... it as far as Lumberton, NC, which is about 11 miles from the SC border today. 6 1/2 hours on the road, which is plenty for me. It was a beautiful drive today, but I am glad I was not on I-95 northbound. The north lanes were bumper to bumper slow almost all the way. Good to be going South.

Thursday started out with a trip to Long Bay Golf course to pick up a piece of memorabilia. My friend, Bobby Blackwell, retired Air Force Major, Vietnam Vet, Syracuse BasketBall player, golfer and awesome guy who survived the Racism of the 60's, wanted to give me a ring that was made for him at a Reservation in Arizona during an Olympic tryout.
