    ... Marilyn Monroe, and Jimmy Stewart. If you are in this city for some reason, stay nowhere else. It is such a treat.

    Our new year's eve consisted of visiting one of this planet's beautiful places, we saw whales, we are staying in a fantastic hotel, and we made a new friend. I do not think it possible for our 2014 to have ended better. We hope yours went as well. Happy new year everyone!

    ... or brauts, as I had prepared both for dipping.
    Dinner consisted of fresh made tamales, home made salsa, along with some great rice and beans. Desert was a slice of Rob's birthday cake.
    I spend the evening getting to know some of Aurora's family. Unfortunately, I am horrible with names so I would not pass the name test of who is who in some of the photos.
    All in all it was a really great day spent in celebration, and enjoying the family.

    ... are fair trade, and a cute cow chalkboard for my kitchen - it was very much my style (not to mention the golden retriever who was in with his owner and got a belly rub from Darrin). Also hit a t-shirt shop and got a nice shirt with a black lab on it because it reminded me of my doggie. Also in Carmel there are all these little alleys leading to hidden courtyards - we only checked out a few, but I really wished we had spent 4 hrs ...

    ... bird's nesting areas. There was only one other car when we arrived at the parking area on the beach--winds whipped up giant waves AND when I got out I immediately was pelted with stinging grains of wind whipped sand. Bonna got out for a 'picture' session' but it was short lived as she (and I) couldn't stand the stinging blowing sand. Back into the Jeep; watched the waves awhile then busted through the sand dunes on our way ...
