    I pulled out of Livermore about 9:30 this morning, so I managed to avoid the rush hour traffic today. It was about a 4 hour run south to Santa Maria and I got here around 1 or so after stopping for lunch on the way.

    Everyone was at work or school, so I had the house by myself while I unloaded the truck and got settled back in here at my Son's house. ...

    ... and tasted fantastic. Added to that was ranch style beans and a sweet kale salad with some grilled french bread. A wonderful meal with the whole family.
    After eating way too much, we sat down to watch a movie. Rob snapped a picture of my repose watching the movie. I follow the Kraft family tradition of overeating and then taking a nap.
    Loving my time with the family. Life is good. ...

    ... confirm that we were really there. We fought our way over to a concrete seating area and then we tried to run back to the jeep all the while getting sandblasted. We laughed as we tried to brush sand out of our hair without much luck. Later in the evening my ear was itching and when I stuck my finger in my ear, it was full of sand, as well as the creases behind my ear. We’ll be finding sand for weeks, I’m sure!!

We told her a little about the trip and where we were headed for the night, but that Santa Maria would be our next major stop.
