    ... chilling with friends before Tuesday when my Mum and Dad arrived and I showed them around South Beach before we went to the basketball at night to watch Miami Heat vs. Atlantic Hawks. Although the match was probably the cheesiest American experience I have ever had, I have to admit it was great the way they got the crowd going throwing dohnuts, popcorn and t shirts to catch.     Detroit. Stefanie aka Paula flew in from Germany to spend 5 weeks with us. Things didn’t always go smoothly, but we survived and had some memorable experiences. Thankfully she made it to New York to see the Statue of Liberty.

    ... waves are less than 1 metre and the catamaran, under power from presumably twin diesels, handles the quartering seas pretty well, with not too much discomfort to the passengers, but definitely not the most ideal.

    ... br> After lunch I drove to Coco Plum Beach and from there to Robbie’s Marina in Islamorada. Robbie’s had a nice kiosk selling art set in frames made from old lobster traps.

    In addition I stopped at the parking area for the old Seven Mile Bridge and also stopped at Bahia Honda State Park. At the seven mile bridge I parked and walked out a ways on the bridge to take photos. At Bahia Honda I concentrated on photos from the beach of the old railroad bridge. ...
