I still need to get used to the traffic here. And the absence of roundabouts. There are so many intersections in my neighbourhood that should really be converted to "traffic circles." ... dam which is managed by the Army Corps of Engineers and has created a beautiful lake - Lake Allatoona. We drove by an iron foundry that was active during the Civil War and supplied iron for the Confederate Army.
This area is so beautiful and so full of history - could spend a month here. But alas we leave tomorrow for Memphis and eventually Arkansas. We had a wonderful visit with our classmate Jack Van Ballegooijen and thank him for his hospitality.
