... and more like the moors in Britain. Talking of Britain, we saw a signpost "Just like England, we pay in pounds" - and a picture of a cow! Poor thing. Also saw mini-tumble weeds today and a dust devil! McDonalds is becoming our favorite place to stop on the road: free wi-fi, bathrooms, cheap coffee. Our poor car is covered in bug splatter!!! In New Mexico now and have gained an hour. Can see Rabbit Ear mountain which we will pass to get to Clayton ...

... as we saw a road runner :-). The road runner was small and ran on the road, then flew in the tree and ran up the branch when I scared it trying to take a photo. Cool. Saw a park ranger and he confirmed the coyotes!!! Also cool - they were so far away... Also saw a raccoon in the night when needing the bathroom. What so amazing is that I can hearths wind coming through the trees before I see it! Enjoying doing outdoor stretches and yoga. So ...

A pretty depressing area and many closed down businesses, and so, so differnt from what we'vebeen seeing. There are some pictures I took ...

        Hey, y'all,

I'm talkin' hot, hot, hot here in Vernon, Texas. A cool 101 degrees but thankfully a good breeze.

We had a great breakfast with Brenda, Stan, and Brenda's Aunt and Uncle at Denny's this morning. Then packed up the coaches and got on the road around 10:30.

We skirted around the south side of Dallas and ...
