We started a campaign swing through northeast and north central Nebraska this morning at that fine establishment, followed by an interview with the Pender Times.

What a crowd at the South Sioux City Chamber of Commerce banquet!
The room was packed, and the handshakes were plentiful.
Really enjoyed meeting so many people and exchanging ideas about business prospects and political issues.
They sure made me feel right at home.
When we left Viking Lake State Park we traveled north on the back roads so we could visit the Danish settlement in Elk Horn, Iowa. Each time we cross into a new state, we stop at the Visitor Center to pick up reading materials & talk with the volunteers about places we may want to visit in the state. ... remarkable. Uncle Bob, Linda and Zach put on quite a show and their efforts are lost on no one. Endless thanks to them for the enormous planning and prep, but mostly for making this tradition stay alive in a place that is so dear to all of us. The Rust family has left their mark, and will continue to do so for generations to come.
