... last night. The cloud cover was too low which only allowed occasional glimpses of light.

Gotta say a big THANK YOU to Cameron for lending me his 2 walkie talkies. They've been an easy way to communicate while we're driving. Can't imagine not having them along for the ride.

Camping tonight along the Missouri River in western Iowa.

The first full day back at the farm. First we will work on the loft and put up the 700 lb. beam and try to get the floor done. Harvest always comes first so hopefully we can start on a bean field tomorrow. The pictures tell most of the story on todays work. Tomorrow we will prepare the combine and set it up for beans from corn. We hope to start combining by late afternoon. ...

... the morning, except that our charter required us to have our luggage and camping gear to the truck before 7 am. But getting up early wasn't a big problem, since we really did want to get some mileage behind us before it got too hot.
