I got very comfortable in Minnesota over the past few weeks. A little too comfortable, perhaps, but that happens with friends like mine. Yet I was losing momentum on my travels and struggling to take the next step. Strange, but it's as though the approaching inevitability of the trip terminus took over my mind, bringing me down. It's entirely possible that I can’t do this forever.

Here in Fort Madison, Iowa (my hometown) packing snacks for the trip. Costco visit (thanks Julie & Nevaeh) yielded enough granola bars and salted nut rolls to grow very tired of them forever.
