... we stopped for cheese, and we stopped in Sparta Wi home of the bicycle AND the fiberglass graveyard. It was an interesting adventure to say the least. Lots of fun though and plenty of giggles. The fiberglass graveyard had a lot of itchy grass and bugs but we survived. Ending for the night in Mn only to keep on truck in' in the morning. Are we having fun ...

Today was a drive day so we got up early and packed up and hit the road. The drive all up was about 700 km so a big day in a van towing a trailer. It was a pretty uneventful drive with a couple of stops at gas stations along the way. ... awake about 6, made tea on alcohol stove -- success. Cereal, milk, juice, fruit. Packed up and out about 9.25. Stopped in town of Nerstrand for ice -- little store that sold cheese and their own sausage. Bought thuringer.

... together...followed by finding our way through small towns, on to Nashville, Dallas and L.A. We were ready. And, imagine...our biggest clusterf'k coming in the one area that we hadn't built up to...getting separated in the middle of nowhere near Albuquerque. Something not forseen. A few messages and phone calls and he was back in, getting a license and arranging to rent a Harley Road King within 2 weeks of our departure date. Ron was understandably nervous about the ride.
