... disappointed that the 'prize' was a certificate - which all participants received! It was so lovely to see a group of Mitch's new friends turn up to support him! So much to catch up on and compare retirement days! Mary Kaye, a Minneapolis resident, has a lovely lake house on Lake Louise ( two hours north of Mpls). So happy she invited us to stay and visit. ...

... It had just snowed again and there was a little dusting of snow on the rocks. I was again the only one there. After a few more moments of peace I got back into CC and started my adventure down the GRR. Not too long after I left the park I saw a flock of five bald eagles diving for fish in the river. They were beautiful. I've never seen them in the wild before. What a great start to the drive. A short drive to Bemidji, MN and it was time to wander around ...
